Countryside Entertaining Oasis

This project was a design challenge as the in-ground pool was already an existing feature as was the unattached garage. The goal from a design standpoint was to create a harmonious flow to fuse these existing features together and create an area where the client can take advantage of the large expansive space to entertain their large family. The initial appearance of the project was very disjointed. The general layout needed improvement for aesthetics and function. Several meetings and options were presented to the clients to meet their objectives as closely as possible.

A custom natural gas firepit serves as a hub of relaxation after a dip in the pool or as the sun sets in the evening and adds to the overall ambiance and tranquility of the atmosphere. Mere steps away is an outdoor wet bar where a favorite drink can be requested or a delicious dinner can be prepared on the grill. To complete a cozy evening, you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the spa that is nestled among beautiful plantings.

The plant palette was challenging for our Horticulturists, as the site is wide-open to winds and wildlife. TERRAFIRMA selected plants that are durable for these conditions and transitions well into the native countryside setting that is present. Our staff, with extensive research, found the right combination of trees, shrubs and perennials to add splendid interest and beauty throughout the various seasons of the year.
