Historic Grandeur

Ann Arbor is an area steeped in history, many of the classic historic homes need very special attention from a landscape architecture standpoint, so the new work looks period correct and fits into the theme of the original building architecture. TERRAFIRMA worked closely with the home owners to create a look that blended in to suit their particular lifestyle.

A series of elegant meandering cut bluestone walkways lead to a formal entryway. A tumbled paver driveway adds to the old world feel and blends perfectly with the homes stately exterior. Landscape plantings were selected based on cultural conditions and species prevalent in the era of the homes lineage. Guests of this stately residence commented that they feel they have “taken a walk back in time.”
