What Clients Are Saying About TERRAFIRMA

We had a very big project, including tree removal, removal of large pavers, building of a retaining wall, stairs from the house to the lake front, and landscaping. We hired Terrafirma and we are so glad we did.
They completed the work quickly, professionally, within the budget (despite a few surprises), and within the expected time frame. They met with us several times throughout the project to answer questions and provide updates. They suggested adding lighting, which we added near the stairs. The lights look awesome at night, especially from the lake! Our project is a work of art! Boats that are cruising by stop at our house to give compliments on the landscape. Thank you, Terrafirma, for adding such beautiful outdoor living space to our waterfront!

Terrafirma installed an in-ground pool. This was a major project and the team was highly competent, personable and efficient. It was a pleasure to work with them. John, Dave and Michael led the team and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The pool and landscaping are beautiful.

Terrafirma just completed a 2nd major residential landscaping project in the last 5 years for us. They have strong capabilities in hardscaping, lighting, irrigation and plants/lawns. Excellent knowledge in a variety of areas is important when we need to make modifications during the project.
Wonderful people throughout the company (in this project in particular, John McBride and Donnie were invaluable to me – professional and patient with my wife and me). Hope that I don’t have another landscaping project for a long time. But if I did, more than likely Terrafirma would be my partner in it for a 3rd time!

We just completed our patio and landscaping project with TerraFirma. We were so impressed with the entire process. They completed the project on time, were very transparent with any additional costs, and the craftsmanship, along with their attention to detail, was fantastic. John was great to work with and was very involved from start to finish. I would highly recommend TerraFirma!

My husband and I worked with Terrafirma’s landscape designer, John McBride, for our home’s recent renovation and new build. John’s design integrated both new Hardscape and Landscape with our existing traditional well established gardens and tree beds. John McBride’s easy going, trustworthy professionalism
was a comfort after 16 months of construction. Beginning with a customized design which included a cement driveway, brick pavers, incorporating an irrigation system to finally laying planting beds; Terrafirma’s John McBride and team were Spectacular!!

After getting a few different bids, we settled on Terrafirma to handle our backyard renovation. Our two separate wood decks were tired and rotting and needing replacement. Our vision was to rebuild one deck and turn the rest into a nice big paver patio. John McBride took our vision and generated plans and a 3D rendering which really helped
the wife and I visualize the finish product. It also led us to making some tweaks to our original thoughts and John’s design which he was more than accommodating with. They understand that these are big decisions that sometimes take time and there will be some back and forth. At no point did we feel pressured or like we were putting John out at all. He took everything in stride and provided a great product. The workers/subcontractors were respectful, communicative, responsive, organized and FAST! What else can you ask for?Now for the finished product…we’re SO pleased with how everything turned out. It is EXACTLY what we wanted and we couldn’t be happier. Like with any of these types of projects, things come up. Very rarely do they go perfectly. Rest assured, when this happens, John (and I assume the rest of Terrafirma) and his team will make it right and fairly.
They weren’t the cheapest bid we got, but they very clearly care about their product and reputation. If integrity, follow-up, professionalism and quality matter a little more to you than the cheapest bid, do yourself a favor and give Terrafirma a call. You won’t regret it..

John and the Terrafirma team re-landscaped our house in the summer of 2023. They delivered on time and on budget, were transparent throughout the process and most importantly, did high-quality work that we’re delighted with.
It spoke volumes that once the project was complete, the team stopped by multiple times to see how everything was growing in. It’s clear that good work matters to Terrafirma and we enjoyed working with John and his team.

We recently moved into a new home and needed everything – water treatment (we are on well and septic), sprinkler system and grass. Terra Firma came highly recommended from a friend so we met the owner, he walked the property with us, explained everything and signed on. The project managers assigned were fantastic, they don’t cut corners
(they do it right or they don’t feel it’s worth doing) and that’s what we were looking for. We look forward to the Spring when they will provide landscaping for us! I’m so glad they were recommended because having a one-stop shop is so worth it!

Eric and Dave at Terrafirma have been great to work with for many years. The quality of the work is wonderful and communication about projects has always been through. Thank you for making landscaping easy!

I had a great experience with TerraFirma. John and Donny and their crew did a great job designing and installing stone stairs and a patio at my home. The work was done on time and on budget. The new stairs and patio have totally transformed that part of my property.
They even went out of their way to repair a couple spots in my yard that had been damaged by other contractors. I highly recommend TerraFirma!

The project involved removal of an old in-ground pool and re-design of the back yard. Once the design was complete, the project was assigned to Bill Lytle, who was instrumental in getting everything done on time and within budget. Bill was wonderful to work with through the whole project.
He managed all the crews, who were also great people who did beautiful high-quality work. I would definitely work with Terrafirma again because of the professional project management and the expert work done by the work crews. We were completely happy with the end result.Services: Walkway landscaping, Grass seeding, Landscape installations, Patio design, Grading & resloping, Landscape design, Backyard design, Driveway or walkway paving

In addition to the great service that Terrafirma offers, its staff is not just friendly but I say extremely knowledgeable and also care about their work quality and go extra mile to create artistic as well as technically correct landscapes. I say they are true 5-star professionals.

Working with John at Terrafirma to build our deck, stairs, and patio was an amazingly smooth experience. Compared to other contractors we considered, John was extremely easy to talk to, understanding, and considerate.
His service and responsiveness were always on point, and we felt very comfortable with every step — the build itself was quick and completed in just a week, faster than we could’ve ever imagined. The carpenter that John has worked with for years was also a delight and would immediately reach out to them for another project!!
